The collected waste, if this has not been done before, is sorted by our employees at the factory. Recyclable materials such as metal, paper/cardboard and plastic are prepared for shipment to Bali, organic waste goes to a composting farm and the remaining waste eventually goes to the landfill.
PET plastic:
Most of the collected plastic consists of plastic bottles that are made from easily recyclable PET. This plastic is seen as a valuable raw material by the industry on Java.
To make shipping more efficient, we have purchased a hydraulic press that can significantly reduce the volume of the plastic.
Glass
We have purchased a glass pulverizer for processing glass. With the help of this machine we can make glass granules (for use in floors or stucco, for example) or even further reduce the size to sand.
